    Flyers Soccer Club Tryout/Kick Around

    Our Flyers Soccer Club is growing and looking to add teams and players. Our kickaround/tryout gives our team coaches an opportunity to either start their club team or add players to their current roster. Our goal is to have current parent volunteer coaches for each team and use paid soccer coaches to run training sessions also throughout the season. Our team tryouts can begin as early as June 9, but all age groups will vary based on individual teams. You will be contacted based on when your child's age group will be hosting their kickaround on June 9. Our Flyers Soccer Club is forming teams to play and develop their soccer skills by training and participating next school year in local club leagues and tournaments. Our teams will provide a fun and challenging soccer experience at a reasonable cost with reduced travel time by training at facilities within the Lindbergh district. Our teams will play in local spring, winter and fall leagues. We are looking for individual players that would like to take their skills to the next level. Teams will be formed by age groups for both boys and girls teams which include: U8 (2017 birthday), U9 (2016 birthday), U10 (2015 birthday), U11 (2014 birthday) and U12 (2013 birthday) and U13 (2012 birthdate). U8 teams would play 6v6 format, U9, U10 teams will play 7v7 format, U11 and U12 teams play 9v9 format and U13 and older play 11v11. We are also looking for new coaches and teams that are interested in starting a team with our soccer club.   • Foundations of Yoga: Ages 15+

    Learn the proper alignment for your unique body using the most common yoga postures. These poses will be accessible for all skill levels. Class will begin with a warm-up of Somatics and Yin to prepare the body for asana. Class will end with more Somatics to relax and release any muscle tension before moving into Savasana (deep rest) to finish our practice.
  • Gymnastics Camp: Ages 5+

    This full day camp is perfect for those wanting all things gymnastics! Great for both beginner and experienced levels. Learn core skills, flexibility, rolls, cartwheels, pullovers, and more. Athletes will work on all equipment including Floor, Bars, Beam, Vault, and Tramp. Camper must bring own snacks, sack lunch (no refrigeration available) and water bottle. Camp may go outside, so please pack sunscreen.
  • Ignite Theatre Co. - Hard Knock Camp: Grades 1-6

    Learn what it takes to put on a show with company members and teaching artists from Ignite Theatre Company, a nationally award-winning youth theatre company. Explore the classic story of everyone's favorite red-headed orphan while learning music, choreography, and acting skills. A final performance for friends, family, and fans will conclude this exciting two-week camp.
  • Introduction To Martial Arts w/Finney's All N 1 Fitness

    Learn various forms of Martial Arts and Self-Defense. Class will include boxing, kickboxing, self-defense, and wrestling techniques. Goals of this class are to teach discipline, respect, and build self-confidence. Led by a certified trainer from Finney's All N 1 Fitness and MMA. Participants can purchase their own boxing/MMA gloves in advance, or they will be available for purchase at the gym for $25.00
  • Invasion Games: Grades 3-6

    Fast paced group and small-sided games that focus on open space, offense, defense, and teamwork. Games include Capture the Flag, Castle ball, Capture the Corner, Ultimate, Wallball, Soccer, Basketball, and more plus some bonus open gym time. This camp is taught by PE teacher, Mary Driemeyer.
  • Jewelry Creations: Grades 1-5

    Each day in Jewelry Creations camp we will learn new techniques and make a unique piece of jewelry or accessory like bookmarks, zipper pulls, jewelry dishes and more. Some of the techniques include basic stringing, wire wrapping, metal stamping, shrink art, resin molding, and clay sculpting. Nature: Embrace the world around us by creating some naturally beautiful jewelry and accessories. We will be making semi precious bracelets, nature themed metal stamping, clay pressed pendants, solar system necklaces, and more. Swifty Fans: Calling all Taylor Swift fans! This fun-filled class will included song and album themed jewelry, plus jewelry inspired by some of Taylor's eras tour outfits. We cannot forget the friendship bracelets to pass out to your friends as well. It's going to be a blast! Summer Fun: Summer is here! Let's celebrate by making some fun colorful jewelry. We will be making ankle bracelets, bookmarks, choker necklaces, beach themed charm bracelets, bubble wands, and so much more. Magical Kingdom: Pick your favorite storybook and movie princesses and characters to create one of a kind character themed jewelry and accessories. This includes bracelets, necklaces, bubble magic wands, ankle bracelets wire wrap crown headbands and more!!

    Jr & Adult Beginner Golf - Ages 13+

    It's never too late to learn the game of golf and improve your skills. This program will cover both the full swing and short game, putting, chipping and sand. Required weekly bucket of golf balls not included in the fee (medium-sized bucket recommended). Taught by certified golf coaches with St. Louis Golf lessons. If you do not have clubs, St. Louis Golf Lessons can provide rentals for a small fee. Please contact info@stlouisgolflessons.com prior to the first class for club rentals.
  • Jr Cheerleading Camp

    Cheerleading teaches athletes about leadership, teamwork, and helps build self-confidence. Participants will learn basic motions, jumps, and chants/cheers. They will also work on tumbling, conditioning and stunts. Camp may go outside so participants should bring sunscreen. Camper must bring own snacks, sack lunch (no refrigeration available) and water bottle. Register by May 8th to guarantee a camp T-Shirt in the correct size!

    Build onto your current gymnastics skills. Athletes will be introduced to the next set of gymnastics skills learned in beginning gymnastics programs along with cleaning up the basic skills.
  • Let's Get Moving: Grades 3-6

    Fast paced games that involve chasing, fleeing, and dodging. Games include dodgeball, Medic ball, Gaga Ball, and a multitude of large and small group tag games plus some bonus open gym time. This camp is taught by PE teacher, Mary Driemeyer.
  • Lindbergh Ultimate Frisbee Co-Ed Clinic

    Ultimate is a fast paced sport played on a field similar to football or soccer. Teammates work together to pass the disc and advance it into the other team’s endzone. Ultimate is noncontact, and uniquely has no referees. The players themselves are responsible for officiating the game through a code of conduct called "Spirit of the Game." SOTG is what separates Ultimate from nearly every other sport, and this code of conduct is used even at the absolute highest levels of national and international competition. Due to Ultimate’s self-officiating nature, coaches must educate their players on numerous real-world meaningful skills, including: Clear verbal communication Deep knowledge of complex rules Calming emotions Respecting differences Celebrating opponents’ successes Overcoming failure Prioritizing respect, fair play, sportsmanship, and kindness Participants will receive a t-shirt and disc.     Little Medical School inspires young minds by sharing our passion for learning, health, and careers in medicine. Through hands-on activities, role-play, and interactive demonstrations, children explore the exciting world of healthcare. All programs are written by experienced educators, board-certified physicians, and trained healthcare professionals. Our classes are led by trained Little Medical School ® Instructors. Little Vet Canine Companions: Become a paw-some veterinarian! Camp participants will roleplay the key responsibilities in a vet office and learn how to care for their plush canine patients. These future veterinarians will learn how to remove ticks, perform a nose-to-tail exam, understand proper animal nutrition and hydration, decode dog body language, and more! Little Vet Feline Friends: Become a purr-fect veterinarian! Camp participants adopt a plush feline patient and learn how vets help take care of pet cats. These future veterinarians will learn how to perform a tip-to-tail exam, suture lacerations, to set up a litter box and safe areas for their pet, make cat toys, and more! Little Vet Equine: Biting at the bit to learn more about horses? This equine camp is for you! Become a vet for a week and learn all about the care and maintenance of a horse. Take an oath and use real medical tools to keep your newly adopted plush horse happy and healthy. After learning about horse anatomy, riding styles, and nutrition you can ride into the sunset with your diploma. Giddy up! Wilderness Medicine Camp: Conquer the great outdoors! Camp participants will role play emergency situations in the wild and learn how to prepare for natural disasters. These future emergency medics will learn about snake bites, hypothermia, tourniquets, poisonous plants, edible plants, distress signals, forest fires, tornadoes, mosquito bites, and more. Sports Medicine: Step into the big leagues! Participants will discover the all-star team behind their favorite athletes! From physical therapists to nutritionists, get a peek at how the pros stay in top shape. Plus, learn how to treat common sports injuries and stay extra hydrated. We'll even delve into Tommy John Surgery! Little Pediatrician Camp: Be Your Baby’s First Doctor! Students will roleplay the key responsibilities of a pediatrician and learn how to care for a baby. Participants adopt their own adorable plush and learn how to change, bathe, burp, swaddle, and bottle feed a baby. These future doctors will explore the different parts of the brain and spine, perform a physical exam, administer first aid, and discover the functions of the heart and lungs. Little Doctor School Camp: Inspired learning today - healthy futures tomorrow! Camp participants will roleplay the key responsibilities of a doctor and learn about vital organs in the human body. These future doctors will learn how to use a stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, and reflex hammer. They will practice administering first aid, learn how pharmacists play a role in administering medications, and more! STEM Sleuths Camp: Students will conduct experiments on fingerprinting, collecting shoe prints, chromatography, composite drawing, facial reconstruction, toxicology, and handwriting analysis. The class culminates in the forensic student team working together to solve a crime.
  • Loberg Flag Football Camp: Grades 2-5

    Come learn the rules and skills of the games on both sides of the ball! Participants will compete in daily skill contests. Scrimmages will take place on the final day of camp. Your child will have a great time enjoying popular sport of football, while learning life skills such as hard work and fair play. Offered in partnership with Loberg Athletics.

    Astro Innovators: Use creative and collaborative skills to design a mission patch, train like an astronaut and solve real-world engineering problems using spinoff technology, just like NASA astronauts working together on a mission. They propose answers to questions like "How could space suit cooling tubes be used to solve a problem here on Earth? How could robotic arms help make our world a better place? Then, they create a storyboard and presentation to share their spinoff project and work on their science communication skills. Rocketry Camp: This action-packed camp will focus on rockets! Learn the model rocket safety code, build rockets, and launch them! Try different roles, such as altitude trackers, launch preparers, and launchers for rocket launches. Make It!: Build a large geodesic dome and a bridge to withstand the shake, rattle and roll challenge! Explore birds and beasts by birdhouse building and investigating super bugs. What did Hooty eat? You will dissect owl pellets and reconstruct Hooty's dinner. Enter the chemistry lab to mix, mash, and brew concoctions for chalk and bath fizzers! Assemble pulleys, levers, catapults, and mega pinchers! Discover the wonders of photography and make your own chromatography-dyed T-shirt. Little Green Thumbs: Give your preschooler a green thumb without using paint! Campers will learn about plants by dissecting seeds, making leaf rubbings, and creating frameable fruit and veggie prints. Learn what types of weather are vital for a healthy garden. Put on your bee-utiful bug costume and flutter by the camp as you learn about one of a flower's favorite pollinators! Come see what the buzz is all about! Secret Agent Lab: The following camp description is classified as TOP SECRET! Ever dream of becoming a secret agent? We'll start with the basics, from decoding messages to metal detectors and night vision. Campers will have the opportunity to check out spy tech equipment and take-home lots of gadgets like spy glasses! Step into the shoes of a detective as you uncover the science involved in evidence gathering and analysis! Figure out the science of forensics in a hands-on look at crime scenes! Become a super spy and learn clever ways of performing tasks as we take a hands-on investigation of the science that spies use! NASA-Journey to Outer Space: Develop understanding of how living things grow and interact within their environment. Conduct experiments, play games, and enjoy a themed-related story. Earth & Space Investigators: Discover the world around you as you investigate everything from the Earth below to the skies above! Explore nature around you and find out how science can help protect our planet! Experience how Newton's laws are at work in your favorite sports and join the ranks of space scientists examining the mysteries of the solar system!
  • Multi-Sport Camp (Baseball and Soccer)

    Baseball and Soccer! Multi-Sport programs are designed to introduce young athletes to a variety of different sports in one setting. Athletes will learn the rules and essential skills of each sport, along with vital life lessons such as sportsmanship, inclusion and teamwork. Offered in partnership with Skyhawks Sports Academy.

You do not have to be a gymnast and anyone ages 6 - 14 is welcome. There will be coaches there to supervise play but will not be providing formal instruction and/or skill spotting.

    Have a blast playing games like kickball, flag tag, soccer, football, relay races, wax museum, floor is lava, and so much more! The activities are always changing and debriefed to add educational reflection. Offered in partnership with The Recreation Academy.
