Clinics are a one off event that specialize in one or two skills!
Whitewater Kayaks are Wild! In this beginner course, students will be introduced to the fun and exciting sport of whitewater kayaking. We will play games, do drills, and practice technique with a focus on FUN! You will begin building the skills and strength you need to get you started on your whitewater kayaking journey (basic paddle strokes, boat balance, boat entry/exit, river running skills/communication, and carrying methods). Taught by instructors with the Missouri Whitewater Association. Includes a First Aid and Water Safety Class at the Alpine Shop!
Boat and Paddle Provided. Students should be comfortable swimming and treading water. Wetsuits recommended but not required. Course is open to all ages (Parents too), but paddlers will be grouped with other students in similar age/skill level. Therefore, students may be asked to move from one time slot to another.
