Welcome to the Lindbergh Community Education and Recreation Ballet program! We have a fantastic team of skilled ballet instructors lead by Mrs. Kay Tabisaura, RAD, RTS. If you have questions regarding any of our ballet classes and/or which class would be the right fit for your dancer(s), please email Kay at rtabisaura@lindberghschools.ws and she will be happy to assist you. Pre-K Creative Dance: Ages 3.5-5
(Instructor - Mrs. September)
Jumping over streams and soaring like birds, students will move through an imaginative dance adventure. This fun-filled class will help strengthen gross motor skills. We'll use music, rhythm, and gestures are that are playful and creative. No previous experience necessary. (class attire: boys- white t-shirt, black shorts, white socks, white ballet slippers; girls- pink short sleeved leotard, pink or skin colored tights, pink skirt, pink ballet slippers)
Pre-Ballet 1 (Ages 5 - 6) & 2 (Ages 6-7):
A preparation for formal ballet lessons. These structured and creative classes focus on solid dance technique, musicality, and refining motor skills using age- appropriate ballet steps and simple choreography. No previous experience necessary. (class attire: boys- white t-shirt, black shorts, white socks, white ballet slippers; girls- pink short sleeved leotard, pink or skin colored tights, pink skirt, pink ballet slippers)
Pearl (Ages 7+):
Formal classical ballet technique will be the focus in this class. Correct posture, use of turnout, the articulation of feet and an introduction to basic dance vocabulary will be central to this level. No previous experience necessary. (class attire: boys- white t-shirt, black shorts, white socks, white ballet slippers; girls- navy blue tank leotard, pink or skin colored tights, ballet slippers)
Emerald (Ages 9+): Students must have previous ballet training.

Turning Steps, adagio, and grand allegro will be introduced at this level. Students are expected to remember exercise settings and short dances. (class attire: boys- white t-shirt, black shorts, white socks, white ballet slippers; girls- navy blue tank leotard, pink or skin colored tights, ballet slippers)
Pearl/Emerald Combined Levels (Ages 7+): Students must have previous ballet training.
This class is for Pearl and Emerald students who want to take a second class, or for students who already have had ballet training but only want to take one class per week. (class attire: boys- white t-shirt, black shorts, white socks, white ballet slippers; girls- navy blue tank leotard, pink or skin colored tights, ballet slippers)
Sapphire (Ages 12+): Students must have previous ballet training.
More turning steps, adagio, and allegro will be taught at this level. Pre-Pointe is available at this level. This class moves at a quick pace. (class attire: boys- white t-shirt, black shorts, white socks, white ballet slippers; girls- black camisole leotard, pink or skin colored tights, ballet slippers, pointe shoes (if recommended)
Diamond (Ages 13+): Students must have previous ballet training.
This class continues to build on the information and technique learned, and moves at a quick pace with longer and more complicated "enchainements" or combinations. Students are expected to perform at the intermediate and advanced levels. (class attire: boys- white t-shirt, black shorts, white socks, white ballet slippers; girls- black camisole leotard, pink or skin colored tights, ballet slippers, pointe shoes (if recommended)
Pointe:
This class is for more advanced students on pointe. Students must attend the Saturday Diamond class.
All classes: Please have hair pulled away from face in bun or ponytail. For those with short hair, headbands or clips are recommended.
